Root Access Path FAQ

Answers to common questions about Root Access Path.

Frequently asked questions

Does completing a path win the run?

No. A path ends in a Certification. To win the run, retain at least four run-deck cards while the opponent cannot supply a legal four-card hand.

Does losing a Bonus game end my run?

No. Losing a VPR round ends the whole run; a Bonus loss has no penalty. Bonus games do not consume or ban run-deck cards or reset the VPR streak.

Do run-deck bans destroy collection cards?

No. Ordinary bans and deck changes affect this run. Only explicitly identified permanent collection rewards change your collection.

What happens after a VPR tie?

Your streak resets. The four dealt run-deck cards are removed and banned, and the opponent’s four return to its pool. No win rewards are granted. Continue only if at least four run-deck cards remain.

Can switching paths reset rewards or bans?

No. Paths share the same deck, pool, bans and resources. Reward positions are fixed when a path is created.

Can I skip half of Report Out?

No. Taking one opponent card and banning a different card form one bundle. Complete both or skip both. Finish all pending rewards before continuing.

Do starting decks grant permanent cards?

No. Named starting decks loan cards for this run only. Explicit collection rewards are delivered through the Inbox.
