Victory Point Race Strategy
Practical advice for planning your next move.
Choose a scoring plan
Look for reliable Defend effects to bring your own cards to 0 VC and Attack effects that can finish an opposing card at 35 VC. Reassess the fastest route to your next VP after each activation.
Spend activations deliberately
A repeated activation can be stronger than spreading actions across every card. Check per-turn limits and any self-damage before repeating.
Choose targets before rolling
Declare required Attack targets before activation dice. Compare how close each target is to a scoring threshold, and follow any card-specific targeting sequence.
Watch shared effects
An effect that Defends opponents can help them score. Consider every affected card rather than judging only the benefit to your own board.
